Elevator Pitch
Baby is a talented get-away driver with tinitus, who therefore listens to an IPod all the time. Because he once stole a car from Doc he is engaged for a number of heists in order to pay him back, and once the scores are even he is required for another job. But as time passes the work becomes increasingly violent and the criminals more unstable, finally endangering Baby’s new love interest.
Content
A number of robberies and car chases, in some cases with shoot outs, all to the accompaniment of pop classics which are playing on Baby’s IPod. So no sex or drugs – but plenty of rock and roll.
A View
In the world of this movie lumbering Atlanta police cars can keep up with a Subaru WRX. We know its necessary, and all films do it, but it still grates a bit. It has been loved by the critics, although I’m not quite sure why. Much of the music was a bit obscure for me, but I enjoyed it and want to see it for a second time to experience the more exciting moments again.
