Dracula 3D (2012)

Plot of Dracula 3D: Jonathan Harker travels to an eastern European village where he is to be employed to catalogue the library of Count Dracula. Within hours of his arrival a young woman who has been turned by Dracula attempts to seduce him, prior to sucking his blood, but she is thrust to one side by Dracula who attacks him. Harker’s wife, Mina, arrives in the village where she is to stay with friends. Meanwhile the men of the village are rebelling against Dracula, who appears within their group and kills them. Mina is controlled by Dracula who thinks that she is the re-incarnation of his long dead wife. Then Van Hesling, the man who knows all about vampires arrives to save the day.

Content: There is sex with, as the IMDb parents guide usually says, some thrusting and some related and unrelated female nudity. The count appears in various forms, a wolf, a swarm of flies, an owl and once, unaccountably, a giant praying mantis. When the visitors alight from a train we see only a part of a carriage at the end of a street. Jonathan Harker is quickly eliminated and when his wife arrives the count fauns on her because of her similarity to his long lost wife.  Dracula also appears now and again and kills people by slashing their throats. Renfield, who you may remember is the count’s assistant, stumbles about pointlessly.

A View: This film has been generally considered to be so bad that it is not even good for that trait. The film had a budget of $7 million and it shows. It looks as if the director had the young women disrobe in desperation to attract viewers. I have seen bad Dracula films but this is by far the worst and is not worth watching, even as part of a joke.

Fun Fact: I was unable to find anything funny for the benefit of this review.
