Elevator Pitch |
Two years before the civil war a dentist turned bounty hunter rescues a slave who can identify a gang with prices on their heads, and thereafter the two go into business together, finally searching for and finding the slave’s wife who has been sold to an evil plantation owner. |
Content |
A load of set pieces as the two go about their business mostly involving hand guns, and featuring the black ex-slave killing white people. Most of the gunfights are spectacularly violent in a cartoonish way, but one or two scenes are quite disturbing. Very little nudity and a bit of drinking. |
A View |
This film was multiply nominated for awards and won some including two Oscars. It was really liked by the critics and made quite a bit of money. I liked it as well, and the two hours and forty-five minutes flew by. If you can’t watch it for nothing it is probably worth paying money to see, particularly if you are a Tarantino fan. |
