Elevator Pitch |
A fishing boat picks up a man from the sea who is injured and suffering from amnesia. Once on land he attempts to find out who he is, helped by a young woman, and chased by a number of assassins who are apparently under orders from the CIA. |
Content |
Lots of tension throughout, a number of small scale but effective fight scenes with martial arts, hand guns, machine guns and in one case a 12 bore shotgun. One brilliant car chase lifted almost directly from “The Italian Job”. One implied sex scene – tastefully done. |
A View |
On a second viewing I really liked this film, appreciating its low key approach, for which the director fought with the studio. The Bourne films have influenced the Bond franchise which has also been propelled into greater realism. An exciting tale faultlessly told! |
