Elevator Pitch |
A female CIA agent is outed as a double by a Russian defector and so has to go on the run, chased by her former colleagues. There is a plot to kill the Russian premier and therefore to initiate hostilities between Russia and the USA and she appears to be part of it, but can she really be a villain? |
Content |
A brief period of torture with AJ in her underwear in North Korea. Extensive chases on foot, and by vehicle in Washington. Some really impressive scenes of Russian monasteries in the snow. Quite a bit of hand to hand combat and gunfire so something of a body count, of innocent soldiers as far as I could see. |
A View |
I enjoyed this which surprised me since I am not a fan of the star, and so did Roger Ebert who remarked that she has one up on John McClane, not only fighting in bare feet, but also without underpants (You’d have to see it). Crisply written and directed, so even though the plot is completely fatuous it is worth your time. |
