Elevator Pitch |
A young woman gives up her job as a private dancer and moves to Las Vegas where she gets a job as a runner for a big time gambler. She also falls for him and is forced to move on when his wife tells him to choose, but she seems to have charmed life and the change precipitates further adventures. |
Content |
Most of the time spent in a variety of gambling environments where it is never quite clear what part the heroine is playing, other than being charming and a bit sexy. Just a bit of nudity early on. No sex or drugs – but some rock and roll at the end, which I would have liked more of. |
A View |
This is another Stephen Frears movie which was not much liked, but it is a tolerable watch for nothing. Inoffensive to a fault despite the naked sunbathing and the occasional f word. |
