Elevator Pitch |
This is “Robot Wars” on steroids, in a world where massive humanoid machines battle it out in packed stadiums and impromptu venues. Charlie is a machine owner, in debt and in trouble and having his eleven year old son tagging along because of the death of his ex, does not help. But then they discover an old robot in a scrap yard and tune it up, and their world changes. |
Content |
Lots of robot boxing bouts, in the style of Rollerball. They will have you on the edge of your seat. A little human violence and some bonding between the father and son. |
A View |
I really enjoyed this, although I realise it is not for everybody, but it was positively reviewed when it came out. Hugh Jackman is now remembered as the dour Wolverine, so it was good to see him as the irresponsible Charlie. |
