Elevator Pitch |
A young black photographer is apprehensive about visiting the country house of his white girfriend, but is made welcome by her parents. He his not reassured by his interaction with the coloured gardener and housekeeper, whose responses to his approaches are odd, and a number of increasingly bizarre events make him question the wisdom of the visit. |
Content |
A curious event at the outset when a black man is abducted in a dark street. An increasing level of tension inside and outside the country house owned by the girlfriend’s parents. Interaction at an odd party with mostly geriatric guests. Some pretty extreme violence but no nudity, sex or drug taking. |
A View |
We were encouraged to go to this show by the rave reviews and the 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it did not disappoint. I still wonder how it made six times the development cost on the opening weekend though. But don’t be put off by the hyp, go and see it. |
