Elevator Pitch A bunch of young Americans with special powers, to move things, to change people’s views of things, to make people believe things and to see the future (not all at once) are on the run from a shadowy government agency and what appears to be a Chinese gang, which also has special people in it some of whom can destroy things by shouting. It all happens in Hong Kong. There will be a showdown, but how can they prevent the enemy from learning what they are going to do in the future?
Content A lot of scenes in Hong Kong, Many demonstrations of the “powers” in use. Plenty of action particularly involving the shouting Chinese. Much gunfire, sometimes with the guns hanging in the air. No sex or nudity but the twelve year old girl’s skirt is knowingly a bit short.
A View Mostly watchable because of the Hong Kong scenery, but I was not alone in being confused by the very convoluted plot, and the frequent exposition only bored us rather than helped. It got very low marks on Rotten Tomatoes and might in the end have just broken even. A watch if you like that sort of thing.
