Elevator Pitch: Desmond is a low level worker in the offices of Ammotech, a weapons manufacturer. He has a friend Mourad, and fancies Samantha. When the workers in the offices sample a military energy drink developed by the company they turn into psychopathic zombies, led by Desmond’s boss, Adam Nusbaum. With no other objective, other than escape, Desmond, Mourad and Samantha, who had drunk a bit of Zolt and therefore needs to be restrained, move about in the building, forced by events around them to move into the upper floors in order to find a working elevator.
Content: No sex or nudity, and no drug taking if we exclude Zolt. Our heroes crouch behind partitions and creep about to avoid the zombies who randomly behead others and rush from place to place. Samantha is wheeled about on what in America is known as a “yard cart” because she has bouts of violence. Eventually we end up in the bosses penthouse, because although they have a super strength door, they have forgotten to strengthen the walls.
A View: This is a very simple story, with a subplot which is, will Desmond get together with Samantha, if they survive. Although just a bit boring in parts there is enough ingenuity in the scenes to maintain the interest. But probably not a watch for small children who might not understand the comedy involved in chopping people up.
Here are a few more zombie comedies you might enjoy: Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, Burying the Ex .
