Elevator Pitch: Vincent an undercover policeman looking for corruption in the Las Vegas police force is faced with a dilemma when his teenage son is taken hostage by a casino owner, against the return of a holdall containing cocaine. He starts to make the deal, but the drugs are discovered by a female police officer who is investigating him. The intended recipient of the drugs a ruthless gang leader, threatens the casino boss and sets a time for the return of the cocaine. Vincent roams the casino looking for the drugs and taking on a variety of criminals in his search. Will he be successful?

Content: No sex or nudity. A couple snog in an elevator. The undercover cops take on some villains in a fire fight where they obtain the bag of cocaine. The boy is snatched and initiates the problems for Vincent. He is separated from his wife, who is intending to marry someone else, but keeps phoning him. He has many face to faces with the casino owner, and almost constant hand to hand battles with the heavies on the other side. Meanwhile Officer Bryant, played by Michelle Monaghan wanders about, apparently unsure what is going on.

A View: Let me say to start with that by the end of this film I had no idea where the bag of drugs were, and it looked to me as if several of the actors had no idea what was going on. Not a bad plan, but too much shouting and an unacceptable amount of fights, often in kitchens so that chef’s impedimenta could be used as weapons. As I am saying more and more often, considering all the dross currently available, and the fact that Jamie Foxx is always worth watching, you might choose to have this on while doing something else.

Additional Info: Two cars – Vincent seems to be driving a distressed Pontiac GTO and a Nissan 370z has an appearance in the climax.
