Elevator Pirch: Domino is spilling the beans to an FBI agent, allowing us to see her progress from rebellious child, to beligerent teenager, super model, bounty hunter and participant in a robbery of $10 million of mafia money. On the way she and her fellow bounty hunters Ed Moseby and Choco bring in some bad guys and fire off an ammunition factory of shotgun cartridges. They also pick up a reality TV show which follows them around filming their exploits. Domino is sexy, but how far is she prepared to go?

Content: There is sex and nudity, so maybe that answers the last question. Plus a lot of confusing set pieces as the bounty hunters travel about attacking people with a variety of firearms. At one point when required to get a safe number tattooed to a villain’s arm, Choco blows the arm off! Two mafia bosses spend time shouting into their telephones. Indeed, everybody shouts a lot, but shouting is not one of Keira Knightly’s outstanding qualities. The reality TV boss orchestrates some of the action, and has hired a couple of actors to replace Ed and Choco, but they do nothing. Domino’s confession to the FBI lady sometimes acts as a voice-over.

A View: This film cost a lot and lost a fortune. It is sort of Robert Rodriguez with added Tarantino, filmed in a colour palette of yellow and green. The trailer I watched is terrible. Tony Scott apparently said that he wanted the viewer to get the impression that they were on coke, since bounty hunters snorted it a lot. Nobody liked it, although I can see that it might develop a cult following. Hence I am not making it a “don’t see”, but I would need to be paid to watch it again.

Additional Info: Domino Harvey did become a bounty hunter and was Bounty Hunter of the Year on one occasion. She died at 35 of an overdose of something.
