Elevator Pitch |
The presenter of an American talent show has his team search out some unusual contestants, which include a country girl from a midwest town, a rapping jewish man and a former jihadist who, when it is revealed that the US President is to be a judge on the show, is pressed into being a suicide bomber by his former compatriots. |
Content |
The guys from the show search out the contestants. The president stops going out and reads the papers, to the distress of his chief of staff and his wife, and the contestants appear on the stage. There is very little offensive in this movie, but probably a 12A because sex is implied. |
A View |
It did not cost a lot, but failed to make its money back, despite being quite liked by Roger Ebert. I quite liked it as well. It is undemanding Sunday afternoon viewing. |
