Elevator Pitch |
Tony Stark is suffering from panic attacks, has become obsessed with the construction of iron man suits and is falling out with girlfriend, Pepper. Meanwhile he is being challeged by “The Mandarin” who appears to be the origin of random explosions in a variety of locations. At the same time as his home is visited by a DNA scientist with information, he is attacked and the house destroyed by the Mandarin. He must fight back with the assistance of a teenager. |
Content |
A number of set pieces involving Extremis with explosions and missiles. Tony is seen out in the boondocks with his suit non-operational. His emotional problems are portrayed. A scene with the Mandarin in his lair. A lot of tension as Tony and his military buddy must decide whether to rescue Pepper or the president, and an extended finale. Some scantily clad young women seen at times, and a bit of boozing. |
A View |
Worth the ticket price just for the scenes with Ben Kingsley (Sir). I saw this first on a flight and remembered them. I enjoyed nearly all of this, with very few set pieces being overdone. It cost a lot but made a fortune and is worth anyone’s time if they like action movies, but watch the first two before embarking on this one, to get the best out of it. |
