Elevator Pitch |
An old widower alone in his house with his memories refuses to move as a massive building project takes place around him, and eventually he uses the house as an aircraft, lifted off by hundreds of helium filled balloons. He accidentally takes a boy scout with him and together they have adventures in South America, discovering a charming flightless bird and eventually having to protect it against an evil explorer. |
Content |
Scenes from the life of the old man, then set pieces in the ‘lost world’ of South America with Kevin the flightless bird and the evil explorer and his pack of talking dogs. Can the old man, the overweight boy scout and a bumbling dog save Kevin? Absolutely no offensive content at all. |
A View |
This is a delightfully structured story from beginning to end., involving lots of tension and a bit of sentimentality, a lesson for scriptwriters everywhere. A worthwhile hour and a half for filmgoers of all ages. |
