Elevator Pitch |
When a mature but well preserved bartender loses her job she decides to borrow money from her oldest friend who she has not seen for years, and so she drives to Phoenix, picking up a failed writer on the way. The friend has married a lawyer and has become respectable and her husband does not know that the pair were groupies in their youth. How will it all pan out? |
Content |
Suzette is cookie but wise and so is dispensing homespun wisdom a lot. They spend time in the writer’s hotel room, and there is implied sex once. Also teenagers seen having sex in a swimming pool. Some drinking drugs and dancing, all very lighthearted. |
A View |
This did not cost much and probably covered its costs on its first weekend. It is lightweight stuff, but Goldie Hawn is a special talent and hauls it along pretty well, and she is worth seeing if you are too young to have seen her in her heyday. And even if you are not too young, probably worth seeing her again. |
