Elevator Pitch |
In the 1970s the US west coast is plagued by a series of murders by an man who styles himself Zodiac and who communicates with the police and the newspapers in code. The investigations fail to make progress, despite the suspicions of the detectives, and the case becomes the object of obsession of a newspaper cartoonist who continues to investigate when the whole trail has gone cold. |
Content |
Some murders of innocent people, mainly lovers in isolated spots. The police meet and exchange views. The newspaper men spend time at their typwriters, not really making progress. Everyone views the codes. Some tension but it is really almost a documentary narrative. |
A View |
An interesting film, possibly due to its basis on real events, but as I seem to keep saying these days, probably too long. Considering the conclusion, quite fascinating but macabre of course. A watch if you have the time. |
