||An eccentric casino owner encourages his high rollers to bet on a race between half a dozen randomly selected people from Las Vegas to Silver City where the winner will collect two million dollars from a railway station locker.
||A whole load of maniac set pieces as the different competitors get into trouble. These include a truck being accidentally wound up the side of a radar tower, a visit to a “Barbie Museum” which turns out to be a memorial to Claus Barbie, a bus disaster involving a load of “I Love Lucy” fans, a cow hanging from a hot air balloon, and a incident prone human heart transport.
||Had I known anything about the director I would have known what to expect, and I was underwhelmed, although the critics did not totally dismiss it and the general public quite liked it. So it is just a matter of taste. In general the extremely talented cast is under used. If you are a fan of any of them choose something else they have been in.
