||An original screenplay
||Ernest Cline, Adam F. Goldberg
||Ernest Cline, Dan Pulick
||Sam Huntington, Chris Marquette, Dan Fogler, Jay Baruchel, Kristen Bell, Seth Rogan, Danny Trejo, William Shatner, Carrie Fisher, Kevin Smith
||When one of a group of Star Wars fans is diagnosed with terminal cancer they decide to take a road trip from Ohio to California and break into George Lucas’s ranch to watch “Star Wars: Episode I” which is not due for release for six months.
||Many adventures on the trip, including brushes with Star Trek fans more than once, a mistaken getting together with some “escorts” in Las Vegas, one of whom gets down to her underwear, pursuit by the police and consequent jailing, some time in a hospital and finally California.
||This was said to be enjoyed by Star Wars fans, due to the in jokes and cameo appearances by stars, but apparently the film was much re-edited and subject to reshoots. If this was the improved version I can’t imagine what the original was like. It was disliked by almost everybody and in movie terms it cost almost nothing but still did not make its money back.
