Elevator Pitch |
The vampires resurrect their demonic leader who they think will give them the ability to emerge into the daylight. Blade’s mentor is killed and he is captured by the FBI, but is rescued by two young vampire hunters. They also need the vampire leader’s blood to concoct a vampire killer virus. The trio go on the hunt for the undead, inevitably leading to a confrontation between Blade and the demon leader. |
Content |
Some car chases, quite a bit of violence of various sorts including some of the characters being beaten up by others. Scenes of vampires biting people. Extended chases over rooftops and through buildings. Vampires are extinguished with a variety of weapons. The female vampire hunter wears a vest well, but why, since Blade wears body armour. |
A View |
Apparently this was a very troubled production with no-one liking the story except the director, and possibly the studio. I have avoided calling the vampire leader “Dracula”, because the demon portrayed does not fit with the accepted profile. There is also a level of comedy in the presentation which just does not fit. And as usual the set pieces go on for far too long. So in the end tiresome. |
