Elevator Pitch |
The king of Persia with his two natural sons and one adopted son invade a sacred city and capture the princess, taking control of a dagger which can turn back time. But the king is assasinated and the adopted son is accused, forcing him to escape with the princess. They endure a number of setbacks before confronting the king’s brother in a fight for world domination. |
Content |
Much fighting with swords and sort of dart things, and some magic and mysticism. A number of set pieces on a vast scale and quite a bit of time in the desert not doing much. No sex although the hero and heroine hold hands. |
A View |
This movie seems to lack something, although it is difficult to say what, maybe it is the Disneyish presentation, which seems to avoid the baser aspects of the human condition. It was not much liked by the critics and cost zillions, not anything like covering its costs. |
