A group of mercenaries are given the job of civilising an island governed by a dictator and engaged in the production of opium poppies. After some minor disagreements with the island’s military they go in full tilt and take them on head to head. |
Content |
Some talking in dimly lit spaces. Some small scale violence, some larger scale violence with various fire-arms and edged weapons. Some full scale war in the dark, with continuous explosions and gunfire. |
A View |
Just for once I agree with the majority of the critics who found that, for what is really a shoot-em-up film, a lack of humour and in the end a lack of ingenuity. It is not quite enough just to keep blowing things apart and beating people up. And actually although billed as “starring” some of the big hitters only had bit parts. |
