Summary: A gang of four criminals, three men and a woman have a plan to invade the home of a rich man, situated on an island which is connected by a swing bridge. To start with they open the bridge after disabling the operator and fry the electrics. In the house which is their objective a woman, her teenage stepson and a female guest are present. The villains leave one of their number at the bridge and drive to the house. When they arrive the guest goes to find out what they want, and is shot, so the mother and stepson hide in the property and contact their security service provider, who had numerous visible and invisible cameras in the house. The criminals search for, and find, a safe which one of their number is given the task of opening. Meanwhile the female criminal is searching for the mother and son, who are being guided by the head of their security provider and the police are attempting to get the bridge working so that they can carry out a rescue.

Content: There is no sex or nudity, or actually any drinking. Wine glasses are filled but not drunk. The problems are the bridge are seen. The contact between the householder and the security provider is established as is the villainy of the criminals. It is pretty certain that if the villains find the householder and her stepson someone will die, and it is only the whispered instructions from the security chief that is saving them. So, constant tension throughout.

A View:  This was a straight to video outing, from Canada. There is no plot outline on Wikipedia and no Trivia on IMDb (maybe this counts as trivia). We don’t find out what is in the safe, which is the focus of the film. I think everyone in the cast does fine and it is perfectly watchable, but maybe while doing your knitting.

Scott Adkins is a Brit who started out on a TV soap “Holby City” so all credit to him for making it at any level in America, where he has had roles in Bourne 3, Jarhead 3 and Zero Dark Thirty as well as other movies.
