Elevator Pitch: Bob Stone, a renegade CIA man lists Calvin Joiner, an accountant as his only friend on Facebook, and after they meet in a bar, Stone recruits Joiner to help him outwit a villain known as the Black Badger, who is attempting to auction off the codes which will provide access to all satellites circling the earth.  Joiner is approached by Pamela Harris who tells him that Bob is a renegade agent and that he is the villain of the piece, but Bob always has an answer to the accusations. Their adventures cause Calvin to review his life with which he is dissatisfied, but will he realise where his strengths lie, and will they find the Black Badger?

Content:  There is a bit of non-revelatory male nudity,  and some drinking of beer. The scene is set when Bob confronts a bunch of bullies in a bar and sorts them out. Thereafter Bob and Calvin are either fighting  with the CIA or escaping from them. Calvin never really knows whether he is being conned or not. There are numerous hand to hand combats and a lot of gunfire with hand guns. Bob is extremely efficient while being charming and amiable. Calvin is slightly at odds with his wife, who requires him to go to couples counselling.

A View:  This film was quite liked by both the critics and the public and it made quite a bit of money. Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart were seen as a successful partnership. Once you see them together you know exactly what to expect, but even so, or maybe because of that, I laughed out loud several times. The scene where Bob pretends to be the couples councillor is a stand-out moment of fun, since Calvin is concealing from his wife what is gong on. So, probably a watch if you want an hour and a half of light entertainment.

Additional Info: The film was originally  in development in 2010 by Universal, but was shelved; then to be purchased by New Line to finally get the green light.
