Elevator Pitch: Jerry and Nick are a couple of friends who in order to meet women wish to go on a cruise, but due to an argument in the travel agent’s office are unknowingly booked on a gay cruise. They eventually realise where they are, and after initial difficulties Jerry falls for Gabriella the dance instructor, but has to pretend he is gay to get close to her. Meanwhile Nick chases a Swedish model, one of a dozen girls rescued by the ship after their helicopter crashed, but is himself chased by their coach. Nick also becomes involved with some gay poker players and thinks that he may be becoming homosexual. How will it all pan out?

Content: Jerry and Gabriella get it on under an orange tree; the tree shakes to indicate what is happening. Gabriella demonstrates oral sex with a banana. The ship is seen dashing along at various points. The dozen Swedish models  parade about in their bikinis and Nick while chasing Inga accidentally causes Sonya the coach to climax. Nick also drinks and falls asleep with  gay man, but nothing happens.  There is quite a bit of drinking. Jerry’s fiancée appears at the beginning and towards the end when she joins the cruise, foiling his plans.

A View: The film won the “Most Unfunny Comedy” award at the 2003 Stinkers. It was thought to be homophobic. Roselyn Sanchez as Gabriella was unfeasibly glamourous and I would like to think that she was very reluctant to do the banana thing, which was embarrassing to watch. The only worthwhile point for me was the shore trip to Hydra, which is an attractive island an hour to the south of Athens. I know it well. But other than that, hardly worth a watch, but as always, if this description has not put you off you might find it acceptable.

Additional Info: The film was made mostly on a cruise out of Athens taking in a number of cities in the Mediterranean. Roger Moore took part just for the holiday – he said.
