Elevator Pitch: In 2029, Logan, once Wolverine, is working as a limo driver in border towns around El Paso, and looking after Xavier who, aged 90, is suffering from dementia, living with the mutant tracker Caliban in a disused factory in Northern Mexico. He, Logan, is approached by a woman who wants him to take her daughter to a safe environment in Canada, and when eventually he agrees he finds that she is a clone of him, designated as X-23. But the Reavers of the corporation who have developed her are on the trail, and so Logan and Xavier with Laura, the girl, go on the run chased by the Reavers with X-24 a new version of Wolverine with evil intent, on board. Can Logan, with his powers failing still save the day?

Content: There is no sex or nudity but Wolverine drinks a lot. We see the surreal hideout in the defunct smelting plant in Mexico and once Laura in on board they chase across America sometimes being attacked by the opposition. Xavier has telepathic seizures which result in everybody round them being transfixed. Logan and Laura fight the Reavers at times with a lot of blood and guts. They have the ability to move fast and stab people with their claws. It looks very unpleasant.

A View: This outing obviously works better if you are into the whole X-Men thing. I have seen three of the X-men films. I think this is No 15 or so, but is probably the last. I have always been slightly uncomfortable with the whole idea of a man having claws which unfeasibly extend from his fists, and which if retracted would go half way up his arms, and now we have an eleven year old girl with the same capabilities. This is not to mention the actual use of them to stab people, also here in spades.  But the critics liked it and it won awards, so could be a watch for the cost of a download, particularly if you liked the other films.

Additional Info:   The film opened in 4,071 cinemas, obviously a factor in the gross returns. It made a lot of money.
