Elevator Pitch: You may remember that Jurassic World fell apart, with the dinos on the loose, killing the visitors. Since then the Isla Nublar has been abandoned, but now there is an erupting volcano. Claire, the former manager, recruits some of her assistants and Owen, the raptor trainer to return to the island to save the inhabitants. But Benjamin Lockwood’s assistant, Eli has plans for the dinosaurs, which even if they are saved from death on the island will be incarcerated in a complex of cages below the Lockwood mansion. Claire, Owen and Lockwood’s grand-daughter Maisie, are faced with  danger from both the dinosaurs and Eli’s mercenary band.

Content: No sex or nudity. The show opens with a submersible being swallowed by that enormous marine dinosaur. Thereafter the volcano threatens the humans and the dinosaurs on the island. Most of the dinosaurs are transported in cages on trailers into a Ro-ro ship. Our heroes also managed to get onto the ship and there are extensive scenes as the friendly raptor, Blue, is operated on and given a blood transfusion. The dinos are unloaded in America and taken to the Lockwood mansion’s underground complex. It would be a spoiler to describe exactly what happens thereafter, but in the end there is mayhem.

A View: This was an expensive production but it returned $1.3 billion, however it was nominated by the Golden Shmoes in the “Most Disappointing Movie of the Year” category. I am a bit of a logistics freak, so I had problems. Maybe the biggest was the cage complex under the mansion which somehow was about 100 feet under ground and on the surface at the same time. And then the dinos proved to be resistant to the knock out darts, but somehow were still subdued. And as for the marine transport – don’t get me started. So a frustratingly dumb film, which probably you could have it on while doing something else.

Additional Info: This is overwhelming. The Wikipedia info goes on for pages, there are 500 photos and over 800 trivia items on IMDb. Take your pick.
