Jason Statham, James Franco, Kate Bosworth, Winona Ryder, Frank Grillo |
| Elevator Pitch |
An undercover cop retires with his daughter to a small town in Louisiana after his cover is blown when he is instrumental in the winding up of a massive drug operation. An accidental series of events reveal his origins and make him a target for the local hard men, and his original enemies. |
| Content |
Louisiana photographs well as a background to numerous fights involving martial arts, pistols and machine guns. Some car, motor bike and boat chases. Several explosions. One sex scene – from a distance. Drugs feature strongly and people drink beer. |
| A View |
A pretty standard Sylvester Stallone, or as it turned out, Jason Statham vehicle, pretty gritty at times. Watchable I thought, even though the critics did not like it much. If you are a JS fan you will know what to expect. |
