| Elevator Pitch |
A minor record company executive is given the task of getting a burnt out British rock and roll idol from London to New York for a Today Show interview and then onwards to Los Angeles for a concert at the Greek. Failure will not be tolerated, but even so three days of drug and alcohol fuelled excess makes success unlikely. |
| Content |
An almost continuous succession of set pieces containing drug taking, drinking, drunkeness, sex and nudity interspaced with some rather rude or ridiculous videos, some fun interviews and a number of pretty good rock numbers. |
| A View |
I was ready to dislike this, not liking Russell Brand’s public persona at the time, but instead I really enjoyed it, and surprisingly so did the critics. There is good music and for me “The Clap” really stood out with its African drumming accompaniment. A fun watch if you are not easily offended. |
