I usually read through the Wikipedia descriptions of the films I critique, and I am sometimes struck by the fact that these can differ from what is actually on screen. This is one. |
Director |
Kaige Chen |
Starring |
Heather Graham, Joseph Fiennes, Natascha McElhone, Ian Hart, Jason Hughes, Kika Markham |
Elevator Pitch |
A woman working in the media in London starts a steamy romance with a troubled mountaineer on the spur of the moment, which progresses to a wedding in the Lake District despite anonymous warnings to the contrary. He has had a previous romance but the woman involved has mysteriously disappeared. Is his new wife in danger? |
Content |
A lot of pretty explicit sex right from the start, some discussions in London houses and scenes in the city and in the lakes. So sex, nudity and some drinking. |
A View |
This is the first film I have reviewed which got 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. It was really soft porn and I’m surprised that the actors took part in it, it was all a bit embarrassing. So there it is, if you’d like to see HG with her top off go for it, if not, move on to something else. |
