An asteroid is due to demolish earth in three weeks, but an insurance salesman still goes to the office. When he sees a young woman crying on his fire escape he invites her in. She in return tells him that his wife was being unfaithful to him and gives him mail accidentally delivered to her, which contains a letter from a woman saying he was her first love. They choose to go on a road trip together to find her. |
Content |
There are parties with drinking, drugs and an implied intent to engage in sex. Much time actually on the road trip as the man and woman get to know each other, and on one occasion possibly have sex. There are riots. The end of the world is not depicted, but we are kept up to date with news broadcasts. |
A View |
I had never heard of this movie, a contender for the longest title on my blog, and it was “fine”. It cost hardly anything in movie terms but did not even come close to making its money back, despite the presence of a couple of real stars. Unless you are a fan of one of those involved, a watch while doing something else. |
