Elevator Pitch |
When a down and out movie producer is offered a script about Disraeli by his talented nephew he manoeuvres a studio into hiring him, and an action star to make the movie although the original script “Bill and Ben” has been ditched. He also demands the assistance of a female studio VP in the hope of, as she says, “getting lucky”. When the star is kidnapped the whole edifice begins to collapse – what to do? |
Content |
A lot of smart talk in the studio, entertaining scenes during the making of the film, some ladies in their underwear, one sex scene without nudity, some action with bondage and whips, a bit of drinking. |
A View |
This movie never got a general release and so virtually unseen by the critics; only two trivia items on IMDB and no content advisory. However if you like films about film making it is a good example, lampooning much of the Hollywood commissioning process, and I enjoyed the interaction between the stars. So not a waste of time in my view. |
