Elevator Pitch When a man with multiple personalities emails his shrink asking for help, and keeps visiting her without an appointment she knows there something amiss. There is. One of his personae has kidnapped three teenage girls and has them imprisoned in a basement. The girls interact with various personalities, one of them appearing to understand him, but the arrival of a new personality is forecast, “The Beast”. The psychiatrist believes that these personalities can have different physical characteristics. Will the beast manifest itself, and if so what will it be?
Content The personalities appear, a fashion designer, a slightly domineering woman, a boy, a threatening man. The girls are frightened and the atmosphere is tense. The requirement that they remove their outer clothing seems just a bit purient (it would not be if they were older). There is some violence.
A View We really had no idea what to expect, and have not really liked previous outings by the director much, but we enjoyed it and were happy to overlook the minor holes in the plot. For those interested in the money, it made four times its cost on its first weekend.
