Elevator Pitch |
A week passes in the life of a bus driver and his wife. He gets up and on getting into his bus writes poetry for a bit until his boss tells him to get on his way. Finishing the day he goes home, talks to his wife who has some unusual ideas and then goes out for a beer at his local bar. |
Content |
A lot of time spent on the bus. The driver writes poetry. His wife cooks cup cakes and buys a guitar. Some things happen in the bar. One day the bus breaks down. |
A View |
The director is a darling of the critics and predictably they loved it. Me not so much. I did not think much happened in “Only Lovers Left Alive” but it was gripping stuff compared with Paterson. I slept for a bit but I don’t think it made any difference to my enjoyment. |
