Elevator Pitch
The White House authorises a risky drone attack in the Middle-East. A new super explosive in the form of a crystal is developed. A young man finds himself unaccountably on the run from the FBI, and is helped by a young woman, both being directed by a female voice on mobile phones and by instructions on video hoardings and the like.
Content
Explosions, car chases from the police and a Predator drone, and also on foot. Spooky visits to an underground facility under the Pentagone, from which a supercomputer is operated.
A View
This movie consists almost entirely of pursuit of one sort or another, and the script pushes the boundaries to keep things going. The critics found it totally derivative which is just a bit unfair. I thought the drones were used very well particularly for 2008, but in the end, despite my enthusiasm for technology I did not like it much.
