Elevator Pitch For their own reasons a couple of con men decide to swindle a gang boss out of a large sum of money by means of an elaborate scam. But how are they to achieve their aim and get away with it?
Content Very little in this film to cause offense, and just a bit of violence. Lots of fun during the construction of the scam.
A View If I ever thought that anyone was “cool” it would be Paul Newman, and he does a great job here. The film won Best Picture in 1974 at the Oscars and nearly all the other categories as well. It cost $5,500,000 and has returned $160 million.
