Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, Rafe Spall
Source of story
The story was prompted by the Alien franchise, although this is a prequel.
Elevator Pitch
Earth scientists identify the possible source of humanity on a planet many lightyears away from earth and an expedition is dispatched. They arrive at the planet and explore an apparent underground structure, which they realise could be a space ship, and find that it is full of biological unpleasantness. As usual not everyone on the space ship is on the same side.
Content
Fantastic sets, constant tension once on the planet, quite unpleasant monsters – no very unpleasant monsters, and plenty of blood. Nearly everybody dies.
A View
I had seen this before, but for some reason it made more of an impact on my 55” TV, and it is very watchable, although not liked much by the critics. I had to look away during the surgery scene. I can tell you that the first scene of a humanoid swallowing stuff and sort of disintigrating, is the distribution of DNA.
