||The story was prompted by the Alien franchise, although this is a prequel.
||Earth scientists identify the possible source of humanity on a planet many lightyears away from earth and an expedition is dispatched. They arrive at the planet and explore an apparent underground structure, which they realise could be a space ship, and find that it is full of biological unpleasantness. As usual not everyone on the space ship is on the same side.
||Fantastic sets, constant tension once on the planet, quite unpleasant monsters – no very unpleasant monsters, and plenty of blood. Nearly everybody dies.
||I had seen this before, but for some reason it made more of an impact on my 55” TV, and it is very watchable, although not liked much by the critics. I had to look away during the surgery scene. I can tell you that the first scene of a humanoid swallowing stuff and sort of disintigrating, is the distribution of DNA.
