Underworld (1)

Released 2003 Rating 15 in UK
Director Len Wiseman Writer/s Danny McBride
Starring Kate Beckinsale, Michael Sheen, Bill Nighy, Scott Speedman.
Source of story An original screenplay – to be followed by sequels, although it was claimed by White Wolf Inc that it was based on one of their published short stories.
Elevator Pitch Not quite out of sight of the human population, vampires and werewolves fight it out using modern weapons in a European city, and things come to a head when both sides track a unique human who may hold the secret of their futures.
Content Almost continuous battles using handguns, machine guns and edged weapons. The heroine – if that is what she is – fetchingly attired in black latex. Lots of blood and gore
A View Even if you watch this very closely it is still difficult to distinguish one side from the other, and sometimes why particularly violent events have occurred. Tiring in the end.
