The Plot of Zombie Tidal Wave: A tidal wave washes up on the beach of a Far Eastern island community, but worse it contains shoals of zombies who attack the residents. A number of residents, including a boat captain Hunter, his assistant, Ray a doctor and her daughter and the local sheriff band together and seem to be surviving. Although Ray’s girlfriend has been bitten and becomes a zombie and therefore a threat. One or two of the girls band up with a rock band, but their safety is short term. We find that the zombies are the result of an anti-aging experiment which the sheriff knew about. The sheriff is bitten but blows himself up together with a number of zombies, improving the chances of the survivors. The decision is take to blow up the wreck from which the zombies are emerging, and to electrocute the rest by charging the rock pools, but can it be done?
Content: No sex or nudity, or drinking, drug taking or anything else to offend, apart from the film itself. A wave in Tsunami style washes ashore over a small community in the east, which is surprisingly unchanged apart from the fact that the streets are full of zombies. They stagger about biting people who also turn into zombies. Those affected include the girlfriend of the mate of a boat, who causes trouble, But mostly those who might survive are seen running away from zombies, or shooting zombies, or hitting zombies but only in one case, beheading a zombie. Oh, and electrocuting zombies and stabbing zombies.
A View of Zombie Tidal Wave: I can’t imagine who could have thought that a lot of zombies trogging ashore from the sea, would be any sort of a hit. Even with people who like films about the undead. There were no twists and turn, no big reveal, maybe the best bit was where one of the characters sacrificed his girlfriend so that he could survive. So honestly, not really a watch even in extremis. And I read that people have paid to see it.
Here are three low cost zombie films which are entertaining because of their unusual take on the genre: It Stains the Sands Red, Office Uprising and Burying the Ex.
