Elevator Pitch The main force of the rebels are escaping from the First Order in a very large spacecraft, but they are being chased by even larger craft. Battles take place. Meanwhile Rey the female warrior from the last film has gone to an island where Luke Skywalker is a hermit, to learn the ways of the force, and Fin, the black guy, with support, searches for the key to something which requires help from a hacker.
Content Fights between the battle fleets with unlimited explosions and dogfights between the fighters. Contemplation on the rocky island the home of Luke Skywalker, travels to one or two different environments, some combat with light sabres and threats and torture using the force. The Millenium Falcon has not yet gone to scrap, and so is in at the finish.
A View Since I had not been keen on the last film it was predictable that I would not like this one much, and some of it just seemed silly. In this category I include the convenient use of “the force” or the lack of it, depending on the requirements of the plot, the removal of Kylo Ren’s mask and the addition of a very large silver stormtrooper ( who turns out to be the warrior lady from Game of Thrones), as compensation. But it has already made a fortune so what do I know?
