| Elevator Pitch |
Two actors who are married to each other and who star together, but are adversarially separated in life are tricked into getting together in a desert hotel where their most recent movie is to be presented to the press. She is doing it with her latest co-star, he is becoming involved with his wife’s sister and both are being manipulated by a clever publicist, motivated by the possibility of getting his job with the production company back. |
| Content |
Lots of quite smart dialogue in the typical Billy Crystal style. Almost the whole film spent at a desert hotel, with scenes in the star’s bungalows and bedrooms. No sex or nudity and just a bit of smooching. |
| A View |
Well, the critics did not like this at all but it has a fine cast who do their best with what is just a bit of a weak script. It is now 16 years old so if you come across it it will be free or nearly free, and it is not a bad way of spending an hour and a half. It is nothing like the worst film I have seen. |
