| Elevator Pitch |
A tattooed and pierced young woman, who lives by hacking computers is raped by her legal guardian and in revenge tazers, manacles and tattoos him. Later she is hired by a journalist who has been contracted to investigate the disappearance and possible death of an industrialist’s niece 40 years earlier. Together they find themselves on the trail of a serial killer. |
| Content |
Scenes in snowy exteriors and stainless steel interiors in Sweden. Some violence including the rape. Surprising amount of nudity and fairly explicit sex (considering the importance of the actors). Fairly complex expositions to provide the audience with the relationships between all the characters. Quite a lot of tension as the investigators get closer to the killer. |

Despite the amount of publicity the books have received I knew nothing about this story at all until I started watching it, and for the first 30 minutes it seemed pretty slow. Then it lit up and kept me gripped for the remaining two hours (it is a long film). Well worth your time if you come across it. |
