A race of parasitic aliens have taken over the world by invading the bodies of humans, and only small pockets of uninvaded people remain. Melanie is captured by the aliens but when her body is invaded by an alien, her conciousness remains. To avoid termination the two conciousnesses in one body escape and return to the humans, leading to a host of emotional problems and extreme danger for them. |

This is a young adult film and so features a number of well honed young men in teeshirts. There are car chases and gunfire and some really great landscapes, apparently Shiprock, New Mexico. And quite a lot of tension as the humans think about killing Melanie, and the alieans search for her. |

This was surprisingly okay, at least in part because, due to some work on the eyes, we were never in doubt about which bodies contained human conciousnesses and which alien. I liked the scenery, and the aliens showed great taste in cars using silver Lotuses. I had doubts about some aspects of the plot, particularly the relationship between the good alien and one of the humans. Hope that’s not too much of a spoiler. |
