Alien

Released 1979 Rating 15 in UK
Director Ridley Scott Writer/s Dan O’Bannon, Ronald Shusett
Starring Sigourney Weaver, John Hurt,  Ian Holm, Tom Skerritt, Harry Dean Stanton, Yaphet Kotto
Source of story Original screenplay
Elevator Pitch After a visit to an apparently uninhabited planet, the crew of the space tug Nostromo become aware that, inadvertently, they are sharing their ship with a terrifying life form.
Content The crew of the ship generally speak in a profane manner (like ship’s crews do). The presence and the attacks by the alien are extremely scary and involve blood and gore. No nudity but SW in her underwear once.
A View Surely everyone knows all about Alien. It is still a terrific film with lots of really shocking moments and virtually constant tension. It is worth a re-viewing.
