| Elevator Pitch |
300 Spartan warriors confront the massed Persian army at Thermopylae and hold them back until betrayed by a local. Meanwhile dark deeds are afoot back in Sparta. |
| Content |
Nearly the whole film is taken up with the battles, where the Spartans, apparently wearing leather underpants , hold back a variety of components of the Persian army each more unpleasant than the last. The production is presented in a sepia colour allowing particularly artistic views of naked ladies to be possible. |
| A View |
I did not enjoy this epic because, despite the choreography of the battles, the whole thing is handicapped by lack of plot. And the attempts to inject some tension back in Sparta are unsuccessful. |
