Plot of Armor: A father and son are security guards driving a bullion van for a money transport company. The father is a functioning alcoholic, possibly as the result of a car accident in which his wife was killing, and for which he blames himself. They pick up a number of boxes from a banking organisation and soon are tracked by a couple of black vans and after a chase end up on a derelict bridge over the Mississippi, a wide river. The robbers, because that’s what they are get out of the vans and in an exchange of gunfire the guards end up locked into the armoured section of the bullion van, with the robbers on the outside.  Despite the assurance from Rook, the leader of the robbers, that they will not be harmed if the open up, they do not. The villains seem to be in touch with a man in prison and a female FBI agent, but why?

Content: No sex or nudity, or smoking. However, the father is an alcoholic, and is seen both at alcoholics anonymous and pouring vodka into his water flask. But this does not seem to affect him during the crisis. The guys do their stuff collecting boxes from the bank (or whatever it is) and are chased by the black van. There are a lot of shots of cities and countryside and long straight roads along which the van travels. We see the robbers preparing their weapons. Once the bullion van it trapped on the bridge there is a lot of gunfire. I thought to start with that the two sets of robbers were shooting at each other, mainly because there was no point in them shooting at the van. People make and receive phone calls.

A View: The long shots from the air are quite impressive, so much so that they could be part of a different film. But other than that there is a lot of confusion in what should be a pretty straightforward presentation. So in the end, regardless of whether you thought that the presentation was good or not, there seem to be a lot of questions unanswered by the end. So really not worth any of your time, even if you happen to be a Sly Stallone fan.

Fun Fact: Some crew members claim that Justin Routt did not actually direct the film.
