Plot of On the Line: A midnight shock jock, Elvis Cooney, is well known for his pranks against his co-workers but on this night he is phoned by Gary a man who says he has Elvis’s family as hostages and will kill them unless his instructions are followed. Gary is apparently taking revenge on Elvis for an affair he had with a former switchboard operator, who was generally made fun of, and who eventually committed suicide. To start with Elvis is required to jump off the top of the building to save his wife and daughter, but does not. As time passes he ends up dashing around the building together with his technician Dylan who is a new start. Over time they find the security man dead, the before midnight presenter shot in the head and are told by Gary that there are bombs around the building and actually Gary’s wife and daughter are out on the terrace with bombs strapped to them. Back in the studio they find Gary with a dead man switch in his hand.

Content: No sex or nudity, drinking or drug taking. We see Elvis say goodnight to his wife and daughter as he goes off to work, where he exchanges banter with the security man. Then the evening session starts in the studio and we are introduced to the team. Elvis jokes with the new start, Dylan, the rest of the team aware of what is happening. Elvis and Dylan dash about in the building and explosive charges can be seen, for instance, on the main door to the place, at one point a policeman outside may try to enter and blow himself up.

A View: Mostly this film seems to roll along pretty well, so it is difficult to express a view without spoilers. I will, go as far as to say that there are vast plot holes in the presentation, which will become obvious as the film draws to a close., But you would have to watch it to get it all, which is difficult because I would recommend that you give it a miss.

Fun Fact: There are none that I can find, although you might find that the film was made in France interesting.
