Plot of Robot Riot: A man clad in a form of fatigues parachutes into what looks like an abandoned town. He has no memory but is approached by a similarly clad woman who kills him. Others land in the town similarly with no memory, but some with weapons. They rapidly find that they are being attacked by robots (out of Robocop) and have to survive. It is also evident that one person may be a robot in human form. The robots are being controlled by a general and a couple of soldiers who are in a building within the town. One of them is causing trouble so the general throws him out and he joins the crew out there, helping them to survive as the stakes are escalated.

Content: No sex or nudity, or smoking or drinking or drug taking. There is a bit of violence as one of the parachutees is killed by another, but then the men and two girls get together and collaborate to survive. It seems that the humans all have some military training and are there to test the robots who are all equipped with  machine guns. There are scenes in the control centre where the general exhibits signs of being a nut.  One of the humans is actually a robot. Some where in the complex there is a super weapon which the general keeps threatening to deploy.

A View: This film looked as if it was one of those where the writer or director has been somewhere and thought it would make a good venue for a film. In this case it is a ruined town or industrial complex, into which some people are parachuted. Some of the plot did not make sense at all. It is unusual in not have a Wikipedia entry or a Rotten Tomatoes review, so I’m not sure how it could have made it to Spanish TV. But there it is. While it lacks a coherent script, it is not alone in that so could be a watch for enthusiasts of B category sf films.

Fun Fact: There are NO Trivia items on IMDb.
