Plot of 65: The 65 is 65 million years ago (on earth). A spacecraft is damaged by asteroids and crashes on a planet which has earthlike qualities. The pilot, Mills, has taken the job which will last two years to pay for treatment for his ailing daughter. He and a girl, Koa, who had been in suspension, survive the crash and need to walk 15 kilometres through jungle to get to the ship’s escape pod. They don’t understand each other limiting their communication, and therefore their journey is hampered by that and the fact that they have to deal with a variety of prehistoric creatures, including a number of what appear to be Tyranossaurus Rex. Additionally Mill’s comms system  tells him that the planet is about to be hit by an enormous asteroid, with resulting devastation. Will the ill matched pair make it to the escape pod and get away before the meteor strike?

Content: No sex or nudity, or smoking or drinking or really anything else to offend. We see Mills with his wife and daughter on what might be an alien seashore, even though they look just like us. After the crash he and the girl are faced with constant attacks by prehistoric animals.  Mills falls into quicksand and is rescued by Koa. She also stabs a Trex in the eye with a bone.

A View: No-one liked this outing really. We can see what the writers were getting at, but the not very twisty twist is not enough to make this worth watching. There are only so many dinosaur attacks we can tolerate before numbness sets in, and possibly to give us some sort of an idea that we are watching aliens, the dialogue is stilted. Surely if we are dealing with spacecraft the AI systems would be capable of a proper conversation. But not in this movie. Even if you are a scifi enthusiast give this one a miss.

Fun Fact: Arriana Greenplatt aged 9 in the film is actually 15.
