Summary: Jaclyn, a thirty something divorcee meets her former husband with hs new wife plus one and a bit children, whereas he never wanted children with her. She whinges to her friends, Molly who is married with children and Amandine, an attractive Lesbian, and together they concoct a plan for her to become pregnant without the need for a partner. This requires her to attend Molly’s husband’s birthday party in a sexy dress, and for her to seduce three male invitees during the evening. The hope is that at least one of them will make her pregnant. How will it all go?
Content: There is sex, but no nudity. Jaclyn’s dress is so short she does not even have to ruck it up for the planned penetration to take place. Much drinking and at one point Extacy, which is accidentally consumed by Molly instead of Jaclyn, making her very happy and then very sad. Most of the female guests at the party are pregnant, the male guests selected for the job are basically objectionable, particularly Tim who is ridiculously unpleasant. Amandine hits on Geoff’s sister who is recently divorced. Geoff, the husband and birthday boy, becomes enraged with what is going on.
A View: The fact that this outing from 2023 has already appeared on our TV says it all. I can’t imagine what induced these people to take part in the film, they are mostly talented and engaging actors. Malin Akerman and Rob Corddry are producers as well. I did laugh twice but mostly it was cringeworthy, bordering on unpleasant. Despite the fact that it is mostly free to view, I have watched it so that you don’t have to.
Malin Akerman has appeared in a number of films reviewed on this site. Most of them have been dire but the acceptable ones include Rampage, Watchmen and Stolen.
